Changing Chalk 2024



Changing Chalk brought organisations and communities together across the eastern South Downs to care for rare chalk grassland, share overlooked histories and make countryside heritage more accessible. The partnership included work with Brighton and Sussex communities through nature, archaeology, wellbeing and creative activities. This page records part of that work in 2024 and shows how the local landscape can hold stories about identity, belonging and the people who use it.
